Fan experts Delmar Fans have said that the direction the wind blows makes a big difference in the ambient temperature.

They say that if you set the fan counterclockwise you will feel much cooler.
In fact, the counterclockwise rotation of the blades pushes the cold air towards the ground.
Cooler air evaporates sweat and creates a chill wind effect, helping you stay comfortable and cool at night.

However, if you want to stay even cooler, Silentnight’s sleep expert Dr. Nerina Ramlakhan told The Independent why you should fill a pan with ice cream.
He said: “Ideally, in order to sleep well, there should be a minimal difference in temperature between our body and our brain: a warm body and a cold head!
Before going to bed, place a fan behind the box to blow fresh air in your direction at night.
Alternatively, you can fill a hot-water bottle with ice-cold water and place it on your body’s “cooling spots” – elbows, ankles, knees and wrists.
Another trick is to run your wrists under cold water after you finish brushing your teeth to be nice and refreshed when you go to bed.
The advice comes after experts explained why you shouldn’t sleep naked and avoid masturbating during a heat wave.
