Jeni thought her tattoos were scaring other parents at her children’s school until she had a conversation with some of them about step counting on smart devices.
A single mom was shocked when she found out why other parents were avoiding her: her Fitbit.
Jeni said other parents always exclude her when she goes to see their son play football at school and thinks it could be because of her tattoos.
He turned to TikTok and went into more detail, saying, “I was at my son’s football game and the two moms I sat with were talking about the rings on their Apple Watches.
“I said, ‘Oh, I never paid any attention to it because I realized how inconsistent the numbers are with the Fitbit on my ankle, so I picked that one because it should be more accurate.

“And they said … ‘Is it a Fitbit?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, what did you think it was? It was purple!
Jeni later realized that moms thought her Fitbit was an ankle monitor.
“All the while I think moms didn’t talk to me because of my tattoos, they thought I was under house arrest,” she added.

Jeni said a policeman once stopped at the soccer field to watch her son play, but said, “All the parents thought he was there for me.”
The huge mess left her viewers with the stitches, with many asking Jeni to do a “ankle monitor” revelation.
He showed in his follow-up video what his purple Fitbit looks like.

“It’s ridiculous, it’s the part that lights up, it’s on the inside, so I guess people can’t see it and on the outside it says ‘Fitbit’,” explained Jeni, pulling up her pant leg to show the purple device.
He also supported the theory that wearing the ankle pedometer is “much more accurate,” noting that his Apple Watch “counts at least 1,000 steps a day” and even more if it’s super active.
