An influencer revealed the reality of Instagram’s ‘retention’, showing off a little-known trick people use to get stylish foot photos.
Danae Mercer, who has 2.4 million followers on Instagram, has posted a video tutorial showing the makeup.
Demonstrating the trick to her fans, she dons a studded heel and kicks into a wall so she can take a clean shot.
“I only wear one shoe on one foot, that way I can balance but I try not to fall off,” he said, adjusting the phone for a “flattering foot angle.”

“Choose the one with the healthiest toes, too,” he added.
Once you’ve chosen your best photo, open a photo editing app and choose a nice filter as your background before making light and soft edits to the photo.
He admits it’s a bit odd to do it in public, explaining, “What do I mean?

“The internet has healed. Behind the scenes it’s fun and you are so worthy of it.
“From your head to your beautiful toes.”
Spectators were amazed when they discovered the stunt.
“I understand what you mean and that’s great too,” said one and a second wrote, “Internet is a lie!”

But some couldn’t resist asking Danae for the name of the editing app and a fan replied: “Everyone who asks for the name of the editing app doesn’t see the essentials!”
A fourth added, “Just another mind-blowing moment for me without even realizing that people were doing it.”
