The movie “Hunt of Thieves 2: Panther” was a serious test for 55-year-old Gerard Butler. He was in extreme pain during the filming of most scenes.
The 300 star told Entertainment Weekly that filming the sequel was difficult due to his knee injury and subsequent surgery.

“This was at the very beginning of shooting the movie. I had major surgery and a month later I tore my anterior cruciate ligament. I wasn’t in the best shape and there was a lot of physical activity. Since I didn’t have a chance to have surgery, I had to go out with a ligament tear. It was difficult. I wanted to add a “but” to end the story on a positive note, but it wasn’t positive. It was a nightmare! – shared the actor.
In the new crime drama written and directed by Christian Gudegast, Butler will reprise his role as Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien from the 2018 film. According to the synopsis, a sheriff follows Donnie Wilson (O’Shea Jackson Jr.) to stop a diamond theft.
