Steven Knight, the creator of the Peaky Blinders series, said in an interview with Paris Match that he will work on a new series in this universe after completing the shooting of the film with Cillian Murphy.
The producer signaled that the project could continue with a new generation of characters. “We will focus on the new generation in the series, which will take place after World War II. And then who knows why we don’t launch a clothing collection?” – Knight shared.
The sixth season of Peaky Blinders will be released in 2022, and Steven Knight decided to complete the story of Thomas Shelby and his friends with a feature film.
The director of the film, of which Knight will be the screenwriter, will be Tom Harper, who directed three episodes of the series. Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Thomas Shelby. The film also stars Stephen Graham, Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan and Tim Roth.
Let us also remind you that the “Peaky Blinders” series was broadcast between 2013 and 2022 and lasted for six seasons. The series takes place in 1919, in post-World War I Britain. The plot focuses on the struggle between criminal gangs, among which one of the most powerful is the Peaky Blinders.
