According to film critics, the movie “Anora” starring Yura Borisov was among the best films of 2024. The rating was compiled by tabloid The New York Times.
The publication published two lists of ten items compiled by Manola Dargis and Alyssa Wilkinson. There was just one coincidence: the refugee drama Green Border, directed by Agnieszka Holland.
Payal Kapadia’s songs “All That Like to Be Light” and “Ernie Ger” were at the top of Dargis’ list. “Mechanical Magic” and “Real Pain” by Jesse Eisenberg. Wilkinson particularly singled out RaMell Ross’ “The Nickel Boys,” Gary Hustuite’s “Eno” and Sean Baker’s “Anora.”
