Digital gifts appeared in the beta version of Telegram: animated stickers, various GIFs (crackers, a festive crocodile with a pipe, a crying duckling, a clown, a big heart, an orangutan at work and others). This was reported by the Durov Code Telegram channel.

When you send such a gift to your addressee, the corresponding effects appear on the screen and you can add a small message to the GIF. Anonymous sending function is also available where the sender’s name will not appear in the signature. Some gifts may be limited in quantity, for example only 1000 tubular crocodiles were released.
Digital gifts can be purchased at prices ranging from 25 to 2000 using built-in Telegram “stars”. The cost of one “star” is about 1.9 rubles. Users will also have access to a special section with gifts where they can be saved and converted into “stars” for access to paid channel content or to purchase Toncoins with a 15% commission.
We have previously written that WhatsApp will bring a “read all” feature. Read more about this here.
