For some reason there is an opinion that seafood has always been expensive. Especially when it comes to mussels, oysters and even crabs. But in fact, there are many places in Moscow that serve (and some even sell) dishes with fish and seafood delicacies, not at the price of a kidney. In this collection we talk about five great projects where you can eat cheap and high-quality seafood.

“Honest Fish” is a chain of seafood bars that sets the trend for premium seafood at affordable prices. In general, the place positions itself as an “at home” restaurant. Therefore it is located mainly outside the Moscow Ring Road. But the flagship restaurant is also open in the city center – in the building of the Oktyabrsky cinema on Novy Arbat. Here they broke the stereotype about the exclusivity of seafood and began selling chestnuts, oysters and scallops starting at 90 rubles apiece. By the way, the menu includes products from all over Russia: from Murmansk salmon and chestnuts to Sakhalin scallops and Kamchatka crabs.

Atlantica Bistro is a new project of the Atlantica Seafood restaurant on Kutuzovsky Prospekt. It opened this summer and has already become a guest favorite with its super fast-casual format – dishes are served in three to fourteen minutes, so it’s better to take a short break between the appetizer and the main course. Another feature of Atlantic is extremely low prices for premium seafood. For example, 290 rubles for positions with Kamchatka crabs and 1,700 rubles for a large marine plateau. Don’t forget to pay attention to the “Special Offer” on the menu; a four-course section that highlights clean, minimally processed foods. And all at an affordable price.
“The Old Man and the Sea”

“The Old Man and the Sea” is a project for those who really understand seafood. That’s why I’m not ready to overpay for the same oysters, for example, here they cost a hundred rubles apiece. By the way, here is the answer to the question of why such queues form here every evening, even though this is a self-service restaurant without a waiter. And yes, you can’t reserve a table at the Old Man and the Sea either. But you can eat plenty of seafood and not spend a significant portion of your salary.
“Fish market”

“Fish Bazaar” is a legendary seafood restaurant located in a 1908 mansion on Patriarch Pond. Despite its location, the prices here are budget-friendly. Oysters, for example, are sold at 150 rubles, and in the morning they even offer a set of six pieces with a glass of sparkling wine for less than one and a half thousand. And here you can choose fresh fish that will be prepared for you. All the “catch” of the day is placed on the ice counter, so all you have to do is choose how you’ll cook the dish: steamed, charred or grilled. But if you don’t want to worry about anything, you can always turn to the menu – it is no less diverse.
“Hunting”

Okhotka serves and sells seafood from the Sea of Okhotsk at affordable prices. By the way, literally every dish here has something of seafood in it. The only exception is desserts. You also don’t have to worry about the quality of each product. In Okhotka, he controls all processes, from capture and transportation to preparation. For those who do not always have time to leave the house, they have organized a fish shop where you can buy fresh fish or ready-made seafood.
