There is nothing better than an open-air summer festival. Imagine: live music, thousands of happy people singing along to the summer hits and incredible sunsets that will never happen again. So when it became known that Abrau-Durso would host the now legendary Weekend of Light, the author of this text made the quickest decision to make an impromptu trip in recent times.
Now you can get to Abrau-Durso in several ways: about a day by train with a “change” in Novorossiysk, or in about nine hours – first by plane to Sochi, then by car to Abrau. It’s up to you to decide which is more convenient. For example, I like planes, but by train there is less rush. But now I know how best to get here next year.
So, last weekend in less than a day I went from rainy Moscow to sunny Abrau-Durso, where on August 3 the Light Weekend festival was held, dedicated to the most beautiful day of the year – the birthday of sparkling wine. And here I must wish everyone the same love for Abrau-Durso and sparkling wine, so that for your sake large-scale musical events will also be held, accompanied by thousands of people listening to the tracks of the leading hitmakers of the year. .

The festival took place in the heart of the Abrau-Durso resort, the largest wine tourism center in Russia. On its territory there are hotels, restaurants, a private beach and even a recreation center. So the location is ideal for staying here for a good rest. But on that day all the attention was focused on the Light Weekend.

Here, as expected, Sparkling Day was celebrated on a grand scale – Feduk became the main performer of the event, and his song “Rose Wine” was literally declared the anthem of this day. Rapper Chris Yank, as well as Antokha MC and the lead singer of the group Artik & Asti – Seville performed on the stage. With such a musical line-up, there was no doubt that the day would be remembered for a long time. When at the end of the evening countless shiny confetti flew into the air, a picture from Pinterest appeared, as if from a moment from the best movies.
The Light Weekend festival is being held in Abrau-Durso for the third year in a row. And by the way, it will definitely happen again next year. This was confirmed by Irina Goncharova, Vice President of Tourism and Special Projects of the Abrau-Durso Group of Companies: “This year the festival strengthened the position of the Abrau-Durso resort as a center of music and gastronomy events not only in the region, but throughout the country. We will definitely continue to surprise, we look forward to seeing you next season.”
Even though summer 2024 is not over yet, we are already looking forward to next year to see what the festival organizers will surprise us with.
