Film company “Sergei Eisenstein Street” and “TsAO Records” announced a series about the Centr group. The biopic is currently in pre-production.
The shooting of the project will begin in December 2024. The director will be Valery Perverzev, who previously directed the film “Brother-3” by Alexei Balabanov, which has nothing to do with “Brother” and “Brother-2”.
It is known that the film crew will conduct a series of interviews with Guf, Slimus and Ptah, as well as other founders and members of the TsAO label, their friends and family members by the end of the year. Their stories will form the basis of the script. Then the producers will start a casting campaign covering all of Russia to find actors for the main roles.
The video’s annotation notes that Ptah, Guf and Slim are “the same and lonely”: “They are from different worlds, but they have the same pain and the same passion. Fate gave them the chance to unite, create the Centr group, win the hearts of millions and conquer the musical Olympus.” The authors of the project also add that, having become giants for the masses, “they remained small people, immersed in their everyday problems and intrigues.”
