If you spent the first month of summer sitting at home, it’s time to catch up. Luckily, we have something to offer you. On July 3 and 4, the play “Mother”, adapted from Tonya Yablochkina’s play, will be staged on the must-see small stage of Stanislavsky Elektrotyatro.

According to the plot, Nadya, the heroine of the play, is serving a sentence for embezzlement, which she committed with the tacit consent of her husband in order to support her family. She begins managing the food department in the prison and gains “mother” status. Released early, Nadya discovers that no one appreciates the sacrifice she made on behalf of her family; Her husband has found someone else, and her son is an enemy. Life has changed, but Nadya has not. The years spent in prison now seem to the hero a breath of freedom and an opportunity to be himself, needed and recognized.
