Some amazing new behind the scenes photos from the set of Supermanwhich confirm a sweet Easter egg from the comics.
In the photos we see a copy of the Daily Planet, which someone took a photo of on the set of the film, where on the front page it reads “Superman realizes a dream” “Cancer patients fly at Egyptian pyramids”.
The image on the sheet shows a superman flying the school bus around the pyramids. This is a reference to All-Star Supermanwhere Kal-El did the same to a group of kids from the local hospital.
This is a sweet plot and it’s nice to see. James Gunn include it. The stars of the film Davide Corenswet as Clark Kent; Rachele Brosnahan as Lois Lane; Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor; Nathan’s son like Green Lantern; Isabela Mercede like Hawkgirl; Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt / Mr. Terrific; Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen; Maria Gabriella of Faria in the role of Angela Spica, aka The Engineer; Sara Sampaiolike Eve Teschmacher; and Terence Rosemore like Otis.
Superman will tell the story of “Superman’s journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as Clark Kent of Smallville, Kansas. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way of life, guided by human kindness in a world that sees kindness as antiquated.”
Superman will launch the theatrical portion of DC Studios’ Gods and Monsters: Part 1. It is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
