Queen Letizia of Spain looked radiant today when she got off the plane in Nouakchott and went on a trip with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.

The 49-year-old is in Mauritania to find out what the Cooperative is doing in the region in the areas of health, governance and gender equality, rural development and food security.

When she arrived, Letizia displayed a practical outfit and wore a red vest with the Cooperative logo.

Underneath, he opted for an elegant all-white suit combined with a button-down shirt and straight-leg jeans. She paired her simple outfit with a pair of practical beige boots.

The royal completed her look with a fresh and natural make-up. She chose a dewy base with a soft peach blush. Her green eyes were marked with a soft speckled brown pencil and she opted for a bright pink lip.

After disembarking, the royal family were greeted by the country’s First Lady, Mariem Fadel Dah, wife of Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani.

The couple were caught talking to locals, including the girls, who allegedly offered traditional royal gifts such as camel milk and dates.

The appointment was Letizia’s second public appearance since the scandal-ridden former King of Spain, Juan Carlos, returned to the country for a week and ended his nearly two-year exile in the Middle East. His 56-year-old daughter Infanta Cristina was also present.

The royal stayed with his close friend Pedro Campos, a former America’s Cup sailor, at his home near the Galician seaside resort of Sanxenxo, where he has been seen sailing frequently with friends and family in the past.
