7 main female archetypes and how to identify yours

There are seven dominant female archetypes in modern society: mother, daughter, wife, hunter, wise woman, mystic, and lover. They explain the main differences between women.

archetype is a type of stencil image with a set of repeated features that can be found in culture, art, literature and advertising. This is an established and recognizable image that most people can understand and that exists in our collective subconscious.

Archetypes exist in many forms and manifestations. One of the most popular theories about archetypes is female. It was described in most detail by Jean Bohlen, a student of psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung. She identified seven female archetypes through the images of ancient Greek goddesses and divided them into three groups: virgin goddesses, defenseless goddesses, and the alchemical goddess.

Jean Bohlen believed that every woman potentially carries all the archetypes within herself. But some are stronger in the beginning. The inclusion of a certain archetype in the harmonious development of a woman occurs in the period when one or another of her roles is activated. Thus, each of us can reveal all the archetypes that exist within ourselves. But let’s check which one you identify with more.

And maturity comes to him through crisis situations.

Naivety and passivity are Virgo’s main enemies. He trusts the world, but it doesn’t always respond to it the same way. He often gets depressed and doesn’t always feel the ground under his feet.
