The director has again abandoned the new Marvel action movie about a vampire hunter. According to The Wrap, this time Yann Demange (“White Boy Rick”, “Lovecraft Country”) left the project.
In the fall of 2023, director Bassim Tariq (“Where are you from?”) stopped working on the film about Blade. Then the producers were preparing for the shooting, which had previously had to be postponed due to the strike of the Writers’ Union.
Additionally, the film’s script is expected to be revised. Eric Pearson (Thor: Ragnarok, Black Widow, Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four) is working on this. He became the fourth screenwriter of the project. All this suggests that the tape is haunted by some kind of evil fate.
The movie, starring Mahershala Ali, was announced five years ago and its release date is currently set for November 7, 2025. However, according to an insider, Marvel is in no rush to start shooting, prioritizing quality.
It is known that the studio will release two films a year, and in the near future the program includes “Deadpool and Wolverine”, “Captain America: Brave New World”, “Thunderbolts” and “Fantastic Four”.
