True stories from travelers: How to diversify your beach holiday in Cyprus?

True stories from travelers: How to diversify your beach holiday in Cyprus?

I would like to start this material without preludes and immediately note that it is worth flying to Cyprus, if only for the Anassa Hotel, which will impress even the most sophisticated fan of luxury holidays. But this will be the end of the material, because it turns out that love at first sight is not only in movies.

However, the author of this article is still in favor of strong relationships that are not based primarily on emotions, so the story will be appropriate – about the pleasures of every day spent among landscaped gardens spread over an area of \u200b\u200b85,000 square meters in the homeland of Aphrodite, mistresses of the “hospitable host” of Cyprus. It’s fair to think of it this way since the hotel opened in 1998, and since then its originality and understated luxury have attracted guests from all over the world. By the way, another reason to go to Cyprus is the great chance to meet a handsome and free foreigner! But first things first.

First day. Hotel discovery

Start the day with a walk overlooking the bay. Although the hotel area is large, this is the only way to enjoy the landscaped gardens and streets between villas with elegant luxury and scenic views. Moreover, you will definitely find “your” place in this luxury.

Alternatively, it could be a church with a bell tower (yes, there is one in the Anassa lands), a central square or a secluded place on the beach over a kilometer long. In my case, it was a custom-made chair on the balcony of my own room overlooking the sea. The chirping of birds, the sound of the waves and complete loneliness; Isn’t this what we dream of in a metropolis with a crazy pace of life?

Meanwhile, all 166 hotel rooms and suites in the main building and in detached villas around the central square have private balconies. And their interiors are more reminiscent of a picture from Pinterest, where every detail is a bespoke design element. However, owners of suites with their own swimming pools and jacuzzis on terraces overlooking the sea will be especially lucky.

The second day. stomach intelligence

I’ll say this right away: Forget about dieting. With so many dishes and restaurants, any “deprivation” is strictly contraindicated. It is better to surrender to luck, but he will tell you which of the seven hotel establishments it is better to choose – Basiliko offering Asian cuisine, Helios gourmet restaurant with French notes, Amphora with a buffet, Pelagos or Meltemi bar offering traditional Cypriot and Mediterranean cuisine, Blue Bar or Armonia. Better yet, immediately pretend to be a writer, do not deny yourself anything and look at each of them, dividing them into several days, because in this case it will clearly not be enough.

I propose to work according to the proven scheme. Start your day with breakfast on Amphora’s terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Akamas Peninsula. You will definitely feel like a movie hero with hot coffee or freshly squeezed juice. And if you find yourself on Easter weekend, scheduled for May 3-5 in Anassa, then it’s not just a movie, it’s a holiday too. We highly recommend trying Flauna – a Cypriot pastry with homemade cheeses, mint and olive pie, otherwise where else will you be able to taste traditional holiday cuisine.

If only it was in Pelagos, where traditional Cypriot and Mediterranean cuisine is served, you should go for lunch outdoors. The menu includes fresh local seafood, appetizers, salads and pasta. If you get a table close to the open kitchen, you can see the food preparation process on the original volcanic stone grill. However, you won’t have time for this on Easter because a special Easter appetizer lunch with live music awaits you here.

But perhaps the most profitable option for dinner will be Basiliko, a cozy restaurant with Mediterranean notes of Asian cuisine. A different atmosphere reigns here by candlelight: no holiday bustle, only dim light, measured calm and an ascetic interior with vaulted ceilings. If the adjective “mysterious” can be applied to an organization, then Basiliko is exactly that. Mysterious, intriguing and memorable, like a first date.

The only place that rivals this is Helios, a fine dining restaurant where you are first introduced to French Mediterranean cuisine with live music and olive trees. The dishes are complex but recognizable by spicy flavors, nuances and elegant presentation. Isn’t that how it usually happens, on a first date?

The final touch to this unforgettable experience is the Armonia Bar, located on the ground floor of the hotel, ideal for an evening aperitif or after-dinner cocktail. The terrace overlooks the sea, adding romance to the atmosphere.

The third day. time to relax

When almost the entire hotel area has been explored, it’s time for all the girls to go to the main attractions – Thalassa Spa and Kult boutique. However, in order not to waste the effect of Anassa’s signature massage, shop first and only then do anything. Luckily, the Kult boutique, designed by Italian architect Paolo Giachi (his work includes Louis Vuitton and Fendi boutiques in Florence), is located next to the Thalassa Spa, so relocating won’t take long. Of course, if you do not “drowne” in the variety of options. After all, you will not immediately remember where we last saw the new collections of Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Miu Miu, Jimmy Choo and other brands. Heaven and nothing more!

And only now, when the main positions of the brands are in your hands, 18 treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, hydromassage pool with sea water, outdoor jacuzzi and much more. There are only two problems – how to find time for all the pleasures and what cosmetics to choose for the procedures: Tata Harper, Augustinus Bader or Subtle Energies from Australia, which will join them in 2024. The latter, by the way, is especially suitable for those with sensitive skin, as it does not contain parabens, silicones, mineral oils, sulfates and artificial fragrances. Therefore, do not hesitate to try the new Rejuvenation and Renewal procedure, a two-hour facial and body massage using the anti-aging Subtle Energies series. Relieving stress and restoring emotional balance is guaranteed!

Fourth day. adventure time

Now you have absolutely nowhere to rush, except to meet adventures. There are many here for every taste: sailing courses, diving with an instructor, wine tasting and much more. Let me give you an advice, do not refuse the boat trip. To do this, choose the first half of the day. This way you will be able to see the Akamas Peninsula in the best possible way and also see the various colors of the sea water, from turquoise to dark blue.

Plus snorkeling can be a bonus to everything. Of course, if you are not afraid of water like the author of the article. Then imagine that the Mediterranean will be conquered by you in all its glory. And photos from the trip will be a wonderful finale to your trip, which we are sure will be remembered for a long time!
