The future is in the brain: how our thoughts shape reality.

“Thoughts are material” is no longer just words or a nice quote taken out of context on the internet. Numerous examples, studies and scientific studies prove that there is a lot of truth in this statement. This is also the view of Arina Myasoed, who once changed her job at the UN to study the human brain and neurocoaching. In our interview, we talked about what it is, who needs it and what our brain can do.

You probably took a long, hard road to work at the UN, but after not working there for very long, you decided to leave anyway. What prompted you to take such a serious step?

At one point I felt “crowded” within the walls of the UN. Although it was my childhood dream to work in an organization, after six years I realized that there are still many areas in which I want to achieve. One of these was about neuroscience and human cognitive behavior. At UNESCO, we have been guided by the following principle: “Thoughts of war arise in people’s minds, so the idea of ​​defending peace must also take root in people’s minds.”

I decided to learn more deeply how exactly people’s thoughts and brain processes shape the reality of this world.

How did you realize that neurocoaching and brain research was something you were willing to risk everything for?

The future depends on the brain and especially its development. Just look around and it will soon become clear that everyone will need specialists whose profession begins with “neuro”. After studying the anatomy of the brain and various cognitive processes and factors, I understood how we de-energize the brain today, predicted the consequences of gadgets for parents and children, and also the current social isolation, multitasking, stress and an impoverished human environment. All this will lead to an extremely negative scenario in people’s lives, and someone will have to help them regain their “lost” brain.

I said to myself: “If you can save at least one human brain, and you will definitely do it, then drop everything and take action!”

Many may not believe that neurocoaching and mental fitness work. Why are people afraid to change their lives, try new things, how will they decide?

People get scared when they are asked to leave their comfort zone and go into the unknown. This is the direct response of the limbic system of the brain to any innovation. This system is one of the oldest places in the brain where memory centers, emotions, fears, hormones, internal processes of the body and energy block are intertwined. Do you think that such a powerful system, which evolved over about 50 million years, could be suppressed by the young neocortex (the new cerebral cortex responsible for human conscious thinking, speech and other characteristics of Homo Sapiens)?

Therefore, wanting a change and making a change are completely different concepts.

You can consciously ask for changes in your life at the neocortex level, but if the limbic system does not like it, then all your attempts to get what you want will not be successful.

Through neurocoaching, I help people expand the comfort zone of their limbic system, create new habits for this, adjust neural environments and frameworks, and calm their anger in the face of any new change. A person can only achieve this goal by selling a goal to the limbic system. With the help of mental fitness, I train cognitive functions, including neuroplasticity, which allows a person to break free from framework thinking and gain flexibility and the ability to adapt to any new events in life. Thanks to this unique feature of the brain, harmful and negative neural networks lose their validity and are replaced by new, beneficial neural networks.

Can mental fitness radically change a person’s life for the better? So how?

Mind fitness allows you to reboot your brain and focus on your life balance at its best. Let me give you an analogy. For example, you have a computer that works around the clock without updating programs, resting, and fully multitasking. At some point it starts to freeze, pages and programs take a long time to load, it shuts down suddenly and cannot save important files. You are angry, stressed and panicked. A simple work task blah blah might take you a few days with an assistant. Additionally, your computer becomes vulnerable to various viruses, making it even more difficult for it to work. You can no longer trust your computer’s processor and you will constantly expect tricks from it, which will increase anxiety.

Mind fitness is a type of program for updating the functions of your computer with detailed instructions for its restoration and energy renewal. After mental fitness, your processor increases memory capacity, increases attention and concentration, increases thinking speed, so now you process information faster and spend less time on any task.

And today, time is the most important resource in finding life balance.

Thanks to mind fitness, you can literally do anything.

What is neurography? So how does this affect our thinking?

I use neurography as a graphic technique to work with the subconscious mind, which contains 95% of the most important information about a person’s life. Thanks to neurographic algorithms, it is possible to influence the limbic system and correct the neural settings in the deep nuclei. Anything to remove stress and negativity from a problematic situation and allow the brain to find the right solution.

During the drawing process, the artist’s will is processed and thus negative experiences are transformed into a skillful situation.

Through drawing, one uses neural connections and projects them into other life strategies. With the help of certain neurotransmitters (hormones) released in the process of neurography, it becomes possible to strengthen the newly created neural environments that form the new principle of human thought and perception.

How did you become a mind fitness ambassador?

I originally came to train as a mental fitness instructor, but due to my excellent achievement, I was given the title of honorary ambassador. So, mind fitness is not a profession for me, it has become a whole culture that I created together with my other colleagues in our society.

How long do you need to practice to see results?

For lightning-fast results, training for 90 minutes two to three times a week is of course recommended. I usually do eight workouts a month and increase the cognitive load with each session. Tangible changes and positive results can be seen after the second training.

Who should start neurocoaching and mental fitness training? From where?

People whose job it is to help people. You need to have special qualifications in communicating with clients who have difficulties, be in harmony with them, communicate in the same language, and develop the weak parts of the brain by relying on the strong parts. Sometimes the client realizes that he has difficulties, but does not understand what they are and what they are connected with. It is important here to clearly and understandably explain the most complex processes that bring the brain to this point and to show in detail the way out of it.

Where should a person who has never dealt with this topic start?

From the foundations of neuroscience. Start examining the brain and see if all this information applies to you. The training process is very complex and it is impossible to cope without special motivation.

You wrote in one of your articles that successful people read personal development books. What books can you recommend to our readers?

My favorite books that I always recommend to my clients are Atomic Habits by James Clear, Brain Plasticity by Norman Joyge, and Neurohacking by Kristen Wellimeier and Sarah Toland.

They will give you a basic understanding of the brain’s impact on various aspects of our lives, including the creation of success.
