‘Off-road’ and electrification do not have to be antonyms. The new Jeep Compass and Renegade prove this, which, with the arrival of hybridisation, allow you to enjoy an off-road vehicle in the same way, with much lower consumption and much lower CO2 emissions than combustion engines. They are entering the scene with a completely new alternative within this popular segment, which is not stopping growing and where alternatives abound.
Jeep remains committed to a more sustainable future with its ‘Zero Emission Freedom’ electrification strategy. Specifically, the e-Hybrid range provides a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, compared to comparable petrol versions. Under the hood of these SUVs is a 130 hp 1.5 turbo petrol engine with an electric drive of 15 kW (20 hp).
Thanks to this drive system they are capable of operating fully electrically in a variety of situations. They can do this when pulling away, at low speeds or even during parking maneuvers. This hybrid technology gives these models a comfort characteristic of 100% electric vehicles.
Its great efficiency is not only based on these aspects. It has a self-charging function during deceleration and braking to maximize the recovery of kinetic energy.
They come to the market with a special version called ‘Upland’‘, incorporating specific aesthetic details for this finish. Durability is not just limited to the engines, as a range of recycled materials in the headliner, in the mats and in the seats, made from recycled ocean plastic. It is easily recognizable thanks to its exclusive ‘Matter Blue’ exterior color and two-tone black roof. The aesthetic is completed with ‘MetaKrome’ bronze finishes on the grille frames, on the rear skid plate and with vinyl on the hood. They are fitted with gloss black 17-inch alloy wheels on the Renegade and 18-inch on the Compass.
Electrification and the world of ‘off-road’ have never been so united. The hybrid engines of this Jeep Compass and Renegade combine durability with efficiency, to enjoy their performance without forgetting the environment.

Thanks to Electric Drive, both vehicles can drive silently and emission-free in certain situations, powered only by the electric motor while the petrol engine is switched off.
The interior of the passenger compartment is not only equipped with the latest technology, but also offers a lot of space and comfort in all its seats, making it two of the most complete models on the market.
Thanks to e-Boosting, the Jeep Renegade and Compass e-Hybrid are able to increase the torque sent to the wheels so that they can get the most out of the drive system.
In the event of traffic jams, the e-Queuing system allows the vehicle to move forward in full electric mode, following a ‘stop and go’ pattern, making such situations much easier and more bearable.
Once the ride is over, the e-Parking mechanism simplifies parking maneuvers so that they can be performed in 100% electric mode.
Since launch, the Compass e-Hybrid has been available in five different trim levels (Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Upland and S), while the Renegade offers a total of four (Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited and Upland).
