Finally, fashion and restaurants have one thing in common – a trend for the sea, mermaids and seafood (or at least “fish scales” on clothes). Now let’s talk a little bit about the language of fashion: The TagWalk team (like Google in the fashion world) is highlighting the “mermaid aesthetic” as a big trend with all the results, such as the 735 increase in the number of searches on Google. Skirts, tails, sequins, and shell tops are up 614% and on Pinterest at fashion shows from Bottega Veneta, Alaïa, Christian Siriano, Nina Ricci, Balmain, and more.
Well, in the culinary language, recently hedgehogs and oysters suddenly became almost the main symbols of successful success in social networks (we are talking about Moscow), and one in five restaurants held promotions for them. Seafood in general is always a good idea for dieters, just the hungry and those who like Mediterranean cuisine.
The Little Mermaid, of course, disapproves, but The Fashion Vibes columnist Anya Baturina has collected 12 restaurants in Moscow with fresh seafood you should go to, apart from the classics – Sakhalin, Magadan, Peshi and La marée (you know them without us, of course).
It is possible in sequins, shells and mother-of-pearl shades – a double blow on the train.

my fish

Wild fish, oysters, hedgehogs, shrimps, octopuses, crabs – almost the entire underwater world is on the menu. Crabs and herring are brought from Kamchatka, trout and salmon – from the Faroe Islands and Karelia, cod – from Murmansk, caviar – from Astrakhan, in general, you can make a trip by studying the menu.
By the way, regarding travel, from June 15, traditionally the Arktika fish festival will be held 4 times in all Ryba Moya restaurants (no matter how cunning it may sound). It was as follows: Dmitry Parikov, the chief of Ryb, was stunned by the spirit and beauty of the Arctic after the first trip, and wanted to convey these feelings to the guests. Until mid-August, restaurants will be serving cold yellow tomato soup with king crab, homemade pasta with sea urchin and sturgeon caviar, and even strawberry seaweed ice cream.

Atlantica Seafood
An amazing restaurant on Kutuzovsky Prospekt with a rich interior, luxurious chandeliers, arches like those in Santa Barbara, but also great prices for seafood. Here, every day, part of the inhabitants of the sea is given at its cost: Monday – salmon, Tuesday – octopus, Wednesday – scallops, Thursday – sea urchin, Friday – oysters, Saturday – crab, Sunday – shrimp. It turns out that the reasons to come to Atlantica are almost endless.
Also, the seasonal menu has recently started and a new chef has arrived. Alexey Yashaev knows everything about fish and seafood, travels a lot, eats and looks for the best seafood. Alexey is interested in the topic of seafood trends (it turns out to be so), so now he is testing methods of dry aging, thanks to which the fish becomes more saturated and structured.

Erwin. patricks mansion. Pond”

All the light of the Patriarchs gathers on the verandas of the “Mansion” (we can’t decide which is better – on the roof or on the pontoon just above the pond) – and this is the only place in Patricks where people are. don’t let them freeze in front of their noses in unnatural poses “take a picture of me, as if I’m walking beautifully” because there’s only water and swans ahead, Ivan and Maria.
The main menu of the restaurant is filled with seafood – shrimp, crab, crayfish, oysters, sea urchin, tartar, stroganina and many variations on how they can be cooked. Seasonal summer, albeit small, also leans “to the sea”. For example, salmon carpaccio with strawberries, avocado with crayfish, gazpacho with crab and strawberries, and eccentric pasta a la vodka with silver spoons with black caviar (friendly tip – start eating this dish separately with caviar).

Ocean

How many times have you dreamed that the ocean is somewhere near Moscow? You have to dream bigger – be it in the very center of the city, for example, on Bolshaya Dmitrovka (that is, on Prospekt Mira or on the Krylatsky Hills). Since it is only a restaurant, you can leave your swimsuit at home, but you can bring your holiday dream closer with new products from the summer menu. For example, order tuna tartare, calamari salad, baked fennel and oranges, octopus or grilled crayfish.

beluga
I would like to believe that the Beluga restaurant needs no introduction, but in short, there is modern Russian cuisine, executed by uncompromising and strict Yevgeny Vikentev. And of course the lobby of the National Hotel, the view of Red Square, a dozen types of caviar, a huge vodka collection, etc.
Everything about seafood is good here – on the main menu, from the “simple” sandwich with caviar and Far Eastern scallops with cloud grapes to the various gastronomic oddities in Vikentiev’s new set of “Contemporary Art Novels”, for example, “squid, sturgeon caviar, eggplant” (this is dried It’s shawarma with caviar wrapped in a layer of squid.) And of course, seasonal menu updates with ingredients that taste best in the warm season, such as fresh peas, Sochi nettle, Krasnodar strawberries and rhubarb. By the way, sea urchin instead of mustard, Sakhalin scallops and wasabi are the best taste of your life. You can try their extraordinary okroshka not only on the set, but also separately à la carte.

Molon Lake
The Greeks know a lot about myths, legends and seafood. Greek cuisine is what you need in an incomprehensible situation when you want to eat squid and pass on vegetables. The best way to enjoy life (and seafood) at Molon Lave is to sit on the patio because there’s a kind of teleport on it and you feel like you’re not in Moscow.
A favorite name on the menu is Khtapodi, grilled octopus with fava, but why trade something separate when you can have a whole Pikiliya Falasinon with a variety of marine reptiles?

Fish factory №1
Restaurant-shop and sometimes separately. You can buy “moriki” at home in “Fish Farms No. 1” all over Moscow or eat right there. It’s a handy format when you’re out shopping for a dinner party, but you realize you can’t calm down right now unless you try the oyster, crab, or at least the shrimp wok with oyster sauce.
Recently, the project has a new format – corners of the dining area, and in the spring the third such corner was opened in Oceania. There is a large seafood bar (not “food court”) with sea urchins, oysters, king crab claws, and an upscale grill menu. You can order whole sea bass, tuna steak and juicy octopus. The main thing is not to forget why you came to the mall – a sequined dress will not wait!

cutfish
You can’t talk about seafood without mentioning a Japanese restaurant. Here is Cutfish, an old Patrikov who distributes luxury sushi and sashimi, and also offers the Tatars akami tuna in a “new style” form in avocado puree, sometimes rice, sometimes tataki or even crispy.
The menu includes uni specials, interesting buttered sushi (ie pressed – Ed.), crispy tuna with truffles, and lots of natural fish not covered in sauces.

rybtorg
The small restaurant “Rybtorg” consists of a lounge with literally finger-licking seats and a shop with seafood delicacies. So here, you can eat at the restaurant and buy from the store home.
There is a legend about this place. They say that almost everything on the Rybtorg menu is raw or cooked because the owners value friendship with their neighbors and are against the smell of fried fish.

CrabsKutabs
You may have different attitudes towards the Warehouse on Belorusskaya, but Kutab Crabs are a whole different world inside this food centre. One of the largest verandas in Lesnaya, one of the largest bar counters in restaurants, more than 30 dishes of 10 types of crabs – imperial scale in general.
Inside the restaurant alone there are five ice display cases, you can browse through almost all the crabs listed on the menu, as well as crayfish, shrimp, fish and other seafood. It is interesting to watch Chef Artem Martirosov serve squid with cuttlefish and sorrel in the form of a roast, in the form of crabs in satsivi, kutabs, chebureks, khinkali and buns, in coconut chutney.

Volga-Volga
We decided not to limit ourselves to seafood, but to expand the subject to rivers in case freshwater mermaids are there. One thing we know for sure is that crayfish with apples, pike cutlets and carp are also excellent dishes and are not inferior to the classic “moriks”.
Besides dining on the Volga-Volga, there is something else to see – the restaurant is located in the historical building of the North River Station and is currently 86 years old (fortunately, it has undergone restoration since 1937), the interior, seriously Stalinist Empire style , reasonably combined with modern design furniture – in the kitchen, too – Soviet and traditional dishes are served, according to the author’s interpretation.
Address: Leningradskoe sh., 51
Monsoon
The unmistakable location in the business district at Korovy Val makes this restaurant a hidden gem of Oktyabrskaya/Dobryninskaya (just between those metro stations). It’s nice to come here for dinner when office workers in the business center are in a rush to get home. Chef Aleksey Gurov makes high-quality seafood, smokes fish himself and finds interesting dishes (for example, salmon on poppy seeds).
Address: St. Cow Val, 5
