Who will you lead: how does your close circle affect your life?

There is a well-known saying: “Whoever you go with, you get along well.” And it really is. Surely you have noticed how people change by entering this or that circle of friends.

This happens unconsciously, first you adopt the gestures of the interlocutor, then your tastes change and you suffer from a bag that you would never even look at before. And so it gradually comes down to the views on life and the attitudes you go through.

Many people today say it’s essential to associate with successful, optimistic individuals. One more point needs to be added to this: You should surround yourself with mentally healthy people with the appropriate mindset.

What is the recommendation?

This is a special kind of expression that is perceived and assimilated by the interlocutor without internal resistance, uncritically, because he trusts the person who said them. These are the settings and programs we use most often when talking, communicating, or commenting on something. And the more often we hear them among those we trust, the more real they become to us.

In order for these structures to integrate with the internal mental system, they need to be supported by a special emotional state and an important context. As a result, under their influence, a person develops a certain way of thinking that begins to dictate what should be done in each particular situation.


How does the environment affect us?

There is a concept of a healthy and limiting environment. Its impact and burden depend on the areas in which we spend most of our time and the type of people we trust.

From a healthy environment, you can often hear expansive statements and beliefs:

– “It will work next time”;

– “Try again”;

– “The world is very kind, positive, needs to be trusted” etc.

A healthy environment radiates positive attitudes that help not to close in the event of failure, to continue moving towards the goal, to look at situations from a different angle. After communicating with such people, you have the strength and ability to easily overcome difficulties.

The unhealthy environment is full of fear-inducing attitudes. These are also called “closed beliefs” when told to a person:

– “Didn’t work – not yours”;

– “We do not accept”;

– “Well, where are you climbing, you will not succeed, look at what you are swinging”, etc.

All this is pronounced in a problem-solving context. And striving for something completely discourages the desire for self-realization and progress.


Why is it important to maintain a healthy environment?

Everyone has positive and negative experiences in their life. This experience influences subsequent actions and beliefs, and is imprinted in our memory with certain decisions that lead to consequences. But the main thing is that we broadcast it to the outside world and “infect” everyone with whom we have close and confidential communication. This is how healthy and unhealthy environments work.

Negative or positive attitudes and beliefs show themselves in all words and actions and affect those in the communication circle.

When faced with challenges and complexities in an overwhelming environment, we probably “cut off” the conversation entirely about the area where we didn’t reach the goal right away. But after repeated trials, it can be a great resource and benefit. However, by unconsciously focusing on the negative attitude of others, we will ignore or reject all suggestions from this area.

When we make plans, talk about our dreams, ideas, the supportive environment comes alive, dreams with us, helping us to expand and live brighter. A healthy-minded person supports another, gives him more hope, strength and energy. It helps to make the right developmental decisions:

– go to study, improve your skills, if the available knowledge is not enough to achieve the goals;

– if other people are needed to implement ideas, go and meet someone.

Healthy thoughts, beliefs, right decisions are also broadcast to the world. People with this type of positive baggage pass it on to others as it shapes their way of thinking and perceiving. It’s important to learn to think broadly, healthily and not limit yourself. Look at the situation from different angles, see more than usual. This is where the right environment helps us.

When we are surrounded by negative and pessimistic people, we are afraid to talk and share things. You’ve probably heard of this belief:

Do not talk about your plans and desires until they come true.

This saying is true in an oppressive environment so that those who think negatively do not hold us back and instill their fears.

If you find that the environment is overwhelming you, this is not a reason to leave it right away. It’s worth considering: How can communication be established differently so that these people are supportive, understanding, and resourceful? We can always transform, change, change the circle of communication that we spread out, inner beliefs and attitudes. Everyone has at least the ability to be that supportive person. And this is important.
