The first thing we care about is water. It is an indispensable element in brewing coffee. The taste, mineralization, quality of the water will directly depend on the taste of the coffee, which will eventually turn out. It is best to opt for bottled water, not boiled or filtered water. When choosing, you should pay attention to the general mineralization. It should be in the range of 01–03 mg/l.

Then we look at the degree of roasting of the coffee. There are three: light, medium and dark. Lighter roasts retain more acidity and less bitterness. In the dark, on the contrary, there will be high bitterness and no acid. A medium roast has both acidity and some bitterness to balance it out. It is also important that the coffee is freshly roasted. The fresher the bean-roasted dates, the more flavor, richness and aroma you will get in a cup of coffee.

In order to bring out the grain as bright as possible, it is necessary to grind the coffee before brewing and preparing it. To do this, you can use both manual and automatic coffee grinders.

The easiest way to make coffee is to brew it in a cup. To do this, we focus on the proportions of 60 g of coffee per 1 liter of water. You need to pour medium ground coffee – not too fine, not coarse. It should resemble sugar in fraction. Then you should fill it with hot water with a temperature not exceeding 100°C and let it brew for at least five minutes and at most 8 minutes.

Drip coffee can be found in almost all popular coffee shops and famous roasters. They are portions of ground coffee sealed in filter paper.

Put the drip bag by the ears into a glass or cup, open it and pour water directly into the bag. When it’s completely poured into the glass, pour it again and then another. Almost all manufacturers of drip packs adhere to the same ratio: in one bag you will get 12 g of coffee, 3 drops – and in 3 minutes you will get 180–200 ml of a good refreshing drink.

The next method is a French press. It is prepared in the same proportions – 60 g of coffee per liter of water. Pour the ground grains into a French press bottle, fill with water below 100 ° C and let it brew for 5-8 minutes. And if you want the drink to be richer, brew it longer.

A filter coffee machine is a device that prepares filter coffee or Americano. It works by natural convection, where hot steam rises. The heated water condenses, passes through the coffee filter and drips into the coffee pot.

The drink is brewed in the proportions we mentioned earlier. This means 60 grams of coffee per 1 liter of water. For example, if you want to brew a half-liter beverage, you should measure 30 grams of coffee. For the drip method, the grinding should be similar to granulated sugar.

A finer grind is used for a geyser coffee maker – it should feel like salt. Pour the water, which will turn into steam during heating, into the lower part of the appliance. Then the boiling water is drawn upwards and passed through the filter together with the coffee. The water is saturated with aroma and flavor and then poured into the upper tank through a tube.

The ideal ratio for 1 g of coffee is 10 ml of water. For example, if the Turkish is 50 ml, pour about 5 g of coffee, if 100 ml, about 10 g of coffee. Turku is better to put on medium heat. Wait for the moment when the foam rises – as soon as this happens, pour all the contents into a glass with one movement of your hand. It is important that the grounds are completely sourced from the Turks, because the coffee continues to brew even after it has overflowed.
