Split fans cried last night as the final episode didn’t have a happy ending to fan favorites Hannah and Nathan.
The third season of BBC One’s hit divorce drama kicks off as Hannah (Nicola Walker) and Nathan (Stephen Mangan) enter the final stages of divorce negotiations.
While many hoped the former couple would rekindle their romance in the final scenes, others discussed Hannah’s romance with her lawyer friend Christie, who had moved to New York.
Instead, viewers watched Hannah go alone and centered around the importance of ending, moving on, and letting go.

One wrote, “I never thought I’d say this, but just for the perfect ending, Hannah really knew she needed a fresh start as she closed chapters of her life.”

Earlier in the season, Hannah’s younger sister Rose and her husband James were unable to agree on adoption after learning that they could not have biological children.
