Meghan Markle will be enjoying her first Mother’s Day with her two children this Sunday as parenthood is celebrated across the pond.
It was announced on Friday that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who enjoyed living as a family of four in their $14 million California mansion, will now be traveling to England for the first time, likely with their children. Lilibet, 11 months. , for the platinum anniversary next month.

Last year, Mother’s Day in the United States took place less than a month before welcoming their second daughter, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on June 4, 2021.
The couple took to the Archewell website to appreciate the work of Los Angeles-based Harvest Home in a statement honoring Mother’s Day.
She explained that the organization supports homeless mothers by providing comfortable housing and programs that will benefit their families for generations to come.
The statement said: “At a day when we celebrate and reflect on motherhood, we also remember the journey of motherhood. Pregnancy can be a vulnerable time for any mother, but it can be especially difficult for pregnant women of color and those from vulnerable and resource-limited communities.
“In Los Angeles alone, 5,000 women each year become homeless at some point during pregnancy and are often kicked out of shelters through no fault of their own.
“In its breathtaking facility, Harvest Home is responding to the needs of these expectant mothers by providing them with community support, safe and accessible pregnancy resources, and reliable guidance in a nurturing environment – essential ingredients for not only physical but mental well-being.”
In honor of Mother’s Day in 2021, Meghan wrote a personal letter expressing her appreciation for community support and safe and accessible pregnancy resources.
“With a new facility in development, Harvest Home will extend its care and support to more women and children in the years to come.”
The statement also announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has a mission to “show compassion in action, ignite supportive and connected communities, and build a more just and equitable future” through the Archewell Foundation.
While working with Procter & Gamble, the couple donated diapers and cleaning supplies for a year to fill the shelves at Harvest Home’s first facility and new home under construction.
According to Harvest Home, the Mother’s Day surprise was accompanied by a personal letter from Meghan.

“These ingredients are essential not only for our physical health but also for our mental health, and I commend you for leading a caring community that lives up to these values.”
Meghan continued: “Thank you for everything you do for the women and mothers who were sent elsewhere through no fault of their own.
“Considering how vulnerable every mother feels during the fragile period of pregnancy, we get a sense of how difficult it can be for pregnant women of color, who come from limited resources and vulnerable communities. I hope you’ll accept an offer of support to further help Harvest Home residents.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to England with their children to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
