True crime boss: who was the prototype of Sasha Bely in “The Brigade”?

More than 20 years ago, the legendary series “Brigada” was broadcast, after which the lives of millions of young people were divided into before and after. The children of the 90s grew up on it, and Sasha Bely became a real superhero of that time (although not entirely positive).

“Brigade”

The series really fell apart on the nails and became a kind of symbol of that era. We know very well what to say when we see a Lincoln car, why a dog is a man’s best friend, and “Christmas tree” does not answer the phrase “winter and summer are the same color”. The 15-episode “The Brigade” is not just a bandit adventure, it’s a story about friendship, love and betrayal.

We love this series and usually review all episodes (except the last one). If you’re a Brigade fan like us, this material is for you. We say who is the prototype of Sasha Bely.

There is a legend that the entire series was filmed with the money of crime bosses who just wanted to romanticize their gangster past. The creators of the “Brigade” in every possible way denied this information, but noted that before filming they consulted with criminal structures.

It is believed that the prototype of the main character of the series, Sasha Bely, is the leader of the Orekhov organized crime group Sylvester. There are many similarities in his biography and the plot of the series.

Both started their rogue careers from scratch and were in perfect physical shape. The main occupation of the Orekhovskaya organized crime group and the brigade was racketeering.

Another fact confirming that the prototype of Bezrukov’s character is Sylvester is the scene in the final series of “The Brigade” where Sasha Bely pretends to die by blowing up a car. The same thing happened with Sylvester: in 1994 his car exploded using a radio-controlled device. According to official figures, the mafia boss is dead, but there is a version that he faked his death to go abroad and start a new life.

There is also a version that the members of the boiler group “Kinoplenka” were the prototypes of the entire brigade. Sasha Bely, Kosmos, Pchyola and Phil have grown from an ordinary street gang to the largest group. The gangsters of the Kazan organized crime syndicate had exactly the same story.

Remember the episode where Max killed Cosmos and Bee at the end of episode 14? So this scene is based on a very true story of the same Kazan organized crime syndicate. At one stage, the group split into two parts leading to a local war. True, in this case, the bodyguard did not kill anyone himself, but simply brought his boss to the killers.
