Greek singer Lena Zeugara has announced a joint winter season concert series with veteran performer Stamatis Gonidis at Vog Club in Athens.
The opening live show, scheduled for Friday, September 4, sold out completely ahead of the launch performance.
Zeugara discussed the upcoming venue run during an interview on the television program Koinonia Ora Mega on Thursday, expressing immense enthusiasm for the milestone in her career.
She described Gonidis as a giant of Greek music and a literal legend, adding that she felt proud, happy, and thrilled to share a stage with him after reviewing his extensive song catalog.
Songwriting and Phone Rehearsals
Zeugara revealed that Gonidis personally wrote new music specifically for their joint appearances, contacting her directly by telephone to present the material.
Gonidis told her during the phone call that he had written a major duet for the pair and insisted she learn the music immediately over the receiver.
The two singers rehearsed the new duet together over the telephone line, with Zeugara noting that Gonidis has prepared one or two duets and has additional tracks in development.
Zeugara shared that she was experiencing wonderful moments working alongside Gonidis during preparations for the concert series.

Describing her co-star's personality, Zeugara called Gonidis exceptionally knowledgeable, stating that he has read countless books and maintains deep religious faith.
She noted that she could spend hours listening to him speak about his long career in the music industry, describing him as a gentle soul in whose eyes she saw a young child.
The collaboration pairs two prominent figures in contemporary Greek popular music for the upcoming winter season at Vog Club, a well-known nightspot in the Greek capital.
