On the occasion of the release of the new tablet Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 with Android 12, Lose contacted a confirmed illustrator to give us his impressions of the object. Through various illustrated challenges, Blanche Sabbah was able to deploy all of her talent and test the tablet objectively.
Lenovo is on a mission to give its users access to professional-grade innovations so that there are no obstacles to their creativity. Buyers of the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 model could be the Blanche Sabbah of tomorrow.
For those of you who don’t have the pleasure of knowing her, the artist introduces herself as a comic book author and feminist activist. You can get an overview of her work on her Instagram account @lanuitremueparis where she stages her daily life, in order to popularize feminism and warn her subscribers against certain very ingrained sexist stereotypes. Reader of the magazine, you gladly played the test game.
To get started with Lenovo P11 Pro 2d Gen
To miss. What were your first impressions of the tablet when you first picked it up?
Bianca Sabba. I liked that it was small. It’s like a small notebook to take everywhere and that can slip into a bag or accompany us in transport. People who draw will surely agree with me, but it’s hard to work on a computer away from home. Especially on a big computer that needs connections, a lot of space, unlike the sketchbook. So, it’s practical, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen is a bit of a tablet/sketchbook.
Are the tablets you normally use less compact?
Yes, I have a bigger one that I use as a computer. So I pair that with a keyboard that weighs a ton… While up there with Lenovo, it’s really super thin and light. Until then, I had heard more about the brand’s computers than tablets.

A professional digital tablet
To miss. As an illustrator, what do you expect from a tablet?
Bianca Sabba. I expect it to be efficient and ergonomic. The big advantage over non-digital content is the very high number of levels. There must be a wide variety of tools to make an original coloring. What I expect from a tablet is that it can deliver professional rendering quickly.
If it can’t do it, it costs too much and is too valuable to favor over the traditional. I really want the range of tools offered and the final rendering, the number of pixels, the number of layers and the definition of the image, the digital drawing tool to be ultra efficient.
After using the digital tablet, do you find that the stylus is accurate enough and takes into account the level of pressure?
Yes, really ! I find that depending on how I press or not, the stroke value changes completely. After that you have to get used to it because there is a screen between the stylus and the drawing, it creates a distance. But, after this little adjustment time, I find this tablet to be very sensitive. As for the screen, its brightness or anything else, I have no complaints.
Does the tablet allow you to install the software you want to draw?
I’m not used to building from Android software, so I’m not familiar with them. On the other hand, the good surprise is that I have an android laptop and I feel that the Lenovo tablet is my smartphone with the ability to draw. It feels very nice to synchronize the two.
I hadn’t had the opportunity to experience it yet. There are all our applications and all the memory on our laptop that ends up on the tablet. I also have all my photos on the tablet. It’s great, I have direct access to my emails, I have my story and it feels like I have an interactive sketchbook.
The strengths of the Lenovo digital tablet
To miss. What are the three points that emerge from your use of the tablet?
Bianca Sabba. The first is speed! The tablet allows me to condense several drawing steps and to have a final and publishable rendering faster than the traditional ones.
Secondly, I would say versatility. I can do many things at the same time. With drawing and graphics software on tablets it is possible to create animations and paste texts. And best of all, I post to networks almost instantly since our support is itself connected to the internet. It’s very beautiful.
Finally, I would say modernity. I find it great to explore new tools, discover new supports and develop drawing practice with what technology offers us.
The new tablet Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 with Android™ 12 contains more qualities than meets the eye:
- Bright and smooth screen, 11-inch 120Hz OLED panel
- Slim and light, with a premium aluminum design
- All-day battery life, up to 14 hours of video playback
- Powerful and versatile, for entertainment, creativity or the office: Lenovo Precision Pen 3 and optional keyboard

For the artist, drawing on traditional media with pencil or brush, the fact of making a mistake, having to start over and not just erasing the mistake remains very formative. This allows you to see where there was a mistake, then continue drawing again. This contributes to our progress.
At the same time, the illustrator enjoys drawing on a digital tablet, it has many advantages. Its characteristics can be changed instantly and at the slightest mistake, just touch the screen with two fingers to make the line disappear, and start again endlessly. For a beginner it will be less scary, he will be less afraid of making a mistake. For a professional, this will allow you to realize results faster and respond to inquiries more responsively.
