In a few days we’ll leave 2022 behind. But before we move on completely, it’s time to take stock. What are the trends that have made the most noise throughout the year? Here are 10.

The sparkling look

Whether they are placed on the mobile eyelid or at the base of the lower lash line, glitter always manages to enchant our eyes and give it that panache it needs from time to time. And we see them so everywhere, that they had to be at the top of our list of the hottest trends of 2022.

Glazed donut nails

Polished donut nails, popularized by Hailey Bieber, are still at the heart of today’s trends. However, we started talking about the latter last summer! And if we love them so much, it’s for both of us for their precious appearance, but also for their ease of maintenance. The plus is that this chrome manicure goes with all shades of nail polish, in case white isn’t your cup of tea.

The burnt blush

Whether you prefer powder or cream, blush is an essential part of your makeup routine. It allows both of us to obtain a beautiful complexion by giving us colors (especially in winter). Just to warm your skin when it’s cold, do not hesitate to bet on warmer colors instead like terracotta or orange to give a summer side to your beauty. This technique is called burnt blush.

The shiny mouth

Matte and satin lipsticks aren’t very trendy lately. This is normal since the gloss downgraded them all. Tinted or transparent, complemented with a little lip liner or not to highlight the outline of the mouth… Gloss is absolutely everywhere and goes with everyone.

The butterfly cut

Whether you have fine or thick hair, the butterfly cut brings the right movement to our capillary mass to shine. Inspired by the mullet cut and volume of the 70s, the butterfly cut comes in a series of full-length layers. A scissor cut reminiscent of another well-known and decidedly modernized cut, the Rachel.

Bleached eyebrows

Bleaching eyebrows is without a doubt THE most common beauty gesture of the year. Spotted in Lady Gaga, Doja Cat or Kendall Jenner, this radical bias makes brows disappear in a shot of hydrogen peroxide.

The colored lining

Pink, blue, green, orange or purple… This year the colored lining dethrons the black, white or brown. But will it be so popular in 2023? Nothing is less secure.

The micro bob

The micro bob or Colette cut is back in 2022. Elegant and moving, sublimates hair lacking volume. Combined with long bangs, it becomes a must have of the year.

velvet effect nails

We have seen them everywhere on Instagram: velvet effect nails. You know, it’s that peach skin fabric-inspired manicure that some people love and some people hate. To get this effect, use magnetic enamel, or specific products called “cat-eye” paints that react in the presence of a magnet. A texture job that salon professionals have already mastered very well given the number of daily requests…

Chin bang

If this Anglo-Saxon term doesn’t tell you anything, don’t worry, it’s not particularly widespread in France. A chin bang is a fringe that starts at chin level, followed by a layer. quite long, divinely frames the face and effortlessly ever since you don’t have to spend long minutes with the blow dryer in hand to get it up. And that changes everything!
