Jenna Ortega appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she talked more about her dancing Wednesday. She shared how much time she had to prepare the choreography and how the dance was originally planned to be filmed.

Jenna said, “At first we didn’t know what song to use, we didn’t know what the situation was. Initially they wanted to do a flash mob, but I thought no, there’s no way to dance and cheer on a group of people on Wednesday.”
The rising star also revealed that she only has two days to find her own choreographed moves for the iconic dance scene. And now we all feel like Jenna Ortega, because although the director thought Tim Burton had been working on this for a while, in fact, the actress admitted she didn’t even get started.

He didn’t sleep for two days and watched loads of videos to gather all the ideas. Jenna watched “Siouxsie and the Banshees (British rock band), Denis Livan in Good Job, archive footage of gothic kids dancing in 80s clubs, Lena Lovich (British singer), Nina Hagen (German singer)” videos. My regards to Lisa Loring, the original Wednesday Addams.”
The actor said that Netflix told him the dance would go viral on TikTok, but he didn’t believe it. “And then they were right,” she added.
