Putin sends a nuclear message to the West for the THIRD day in a row with the new deployment of the Yars strategic missile

Russia continued its third day of nuclear brawling today by deploying more long-range missiles near its western borders.

Propaganda channels showed the new deployment of a strategic Yars missile, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and reaching Europe and the American continent, in the Tver region north of Moscow.

It comes a day after more images emerged of another Yars rocket loaded into the ground at the Kozelsky base, 160 miles south of Moscow.

A day earlier, a video showed another missile hitting the same base, and then a retired Russian general said Russia should prioritize attacking London over Washington DC.

The recent deployment of the Yars strategic missile in the Tver region, which is closer to NATO’s borders than the Kozelsky base, comes as Vladimir Putin Gunfire since February’s declaration of war against Ukraine, with the West as the main target.

Such threats have been rolled back in recent weeks after Beijing said they should stop, but are slowly picking up again ahead of Russia’s annual Strategic Missile Forces Day on Saturday.

Russia’s strategic missile commander, Colonel General Sergei Karakayev, told Zvezda TV: “A missile regiment in the Tver region … entered combat service with a Yars road mobile system.”

That deployment, marked by a military ceremony at the Bologovsky Strategic Missile Forces complex, came as Putin’s strategic forces separately fired dozens of powerful missiles at Ukraine.

The last time Russia demonstrated its Yars missiles was in October, when Putin oversaw the annual Grom nuclear exercises.

Submarines, nuclear bombers and Russia’s nuclear missile forces took part in these exercises – overseen by Putin’s nuclear command centre.

Colonel Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of Russia’s National Defense magazine, later said the exercises were a dress rehearsal for the destruction of Britain and the US.

General Gurulev said on Thursday that the West was determined to see Ukraine attack Russia.

“So why are we ashamed to say we should attack London?” he asked.

“I’m not saying we should destroy everyone. We must destroy critical facilities – control centers, military bases and airfields.

“I’m sure we should have a catalog about the general staff and it’s constantly being updated… Is it nuclear…[or not]?

“If it’s non-nuclear, you have to calculate how many missile carriers, ships, aircraft, satellite constellation(s)… [drones] are required.

And an attack on London, strange as it may sound, would be the first and last warning to them [real decision-makers – Washington].’

The Yars missile is a modification of the Topol-M missile system and was first deployed in 2009. During the October exercise, Russia is believed to have practiced its response to a Western nuclear attack.

However, it is not Russia’s most advanced nuclear missile – that is the Sarmat 2, which Putin oversaw in a test launch in April.

Moscow claims that the missile can carry up to 15 nuclear warheads mounted on their new Avangard hypersonic reentry vehicles and deliver them to their targets.

According to Putin, these vehicles are so fast and highly maneuverable that none of the current missile defense systems can stop them.

He has often used this fact to threaten other nations as his war in Ukraine continues to end badly for the Kremlin.
