After several closures and reopenings during the pandemic, Shanghai Disneyland will resume operations on Friday, November 25. Shanghai Disney Resort said it would continue to operate with limited daily capacity and implement “enhanced health and safety measures”.

Today, the resort announced that the park will open at 8:30 a.m. local time on Friday and the Toy Story Hotel will also resume operations. Other parts of the resort were back online last week, including Disneytown, Wishing Star Park and the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel.

Certain attractions, live entertainment, restaurants and retail outlets may not be immediately available or operate at reduced capacity.

Guests are still expected to “strictly observe the measures to combat the pandemic”. These include proof of a negative nucleic acid test within 48 hours, temperature control, a green QR code from Shanghai Health, masks and social distancing.

Then, in November 2021, 34,000 visitors were trapped inside after a woman who had been at the park the day before later tested positive or came into contact with someone who had it.
