Chloe Bailey stars in AGC Studio’s Wall Street Drama Midas Touch

Musician and actress Chloe Bailey (Grew up) has signed on to star in the Wall Street drama Midas touch by AGC Studios. The film follows the true story of Lauren Simmons, the youngest stock trader to sit on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange and only the second African-American woman to hold the position. Bailey plays Simmons in the film directed by Numa Perrier (The perfect find). Simmons is executive producing the film, along with AGC’s Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Glendon Palmer. CAA negotiated on behalf of Bailey and AGC’s SVP Legal & Business Affairs, Anant Tamirisa, and Palmer negotiated on behalf of AGC.

Pact producer Little Door expands with new actors

The Welsh indie behind the BBC drama The BundLittle Door Productions has closed sherlock and baker boys Manager Bethan Jones as Executive Producer and Beth Jones as Development Manager. Jones comes from Playground, where she includes Lionsgate+ dangerous relationships. She also remains the co-creative director of Red Seam, a company she co-founded in 2019 that will continue to develop projects with Little Door’s support. Previously, Grant was head of development at the BBC’s Writersroom Wales and story and script editor for long-running medical dramas accident. She also worked for Tidy Productions and Newman Street.

The Battle of Changjin Lake won the Golden Rooster for Best Film

war epic The Battle of Changjin Lake won best film at the Chinese Golden Rooster Awards on Saturday. Backed by Chen Kaige, Tsui Hark and Dante Lam, the 2021 title also received director awards. With 5.77 billion RMB (900 million US dollars), it is the highest-grossing domestic film of all time in China. A making-of documentary will be released this weekend. Meanwhile castings of Frant Gwo’s The Wandering Earth 2 was also screened at the Goue Haan and Hunderd Blomme film festival this weekend. Set before the events of the original film, the sequel to the groundbreaking sci-fi film stars Wu Jing, Li Xuejian, Sha Yi, Ning Li, Wang Zhi, Zhu Yanmanzi and Andy Lau. The release is expected during the New Year holiday next year.

Sudhanshu Saria’s drama ahead of its world premiere at the 26th Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Sanaa launched his first poster. To see it under. Radhika Madan plays the woman of the same name who struggles internally due to unresolved trauma. Sanaa also Pooja Bhatt, Sohum Shah, Shikha Talsania, Nikhil Khurana and Navneet Nishan. Channel 4 closes Ackley Bridge after five seasons

British broadcaster Channel 4 has closed its doors to its school drama series Ackley Bridge after five seasons. The news broke yesterday, with the show’s official Twitter account confirming it was over. All3Media’s The Forge show followed the lives of teachers and students at a multicultural school in a segregated white and Pakistani community in northern England. Channel 4 said in a statement: “As a broadcaster we are very proud Ackley Bridge, which has been praised over the past five seasons for how it approached real-life situations and problems in an irreverent and insightful way. However, Channel 4 has a responsibility to constantly look for new and innovative ideas and we have taken the difficult decision not to give the green light to another series.”
