Kevin Germanier x La Redoute: the brilliant and upcycled fashion collaboration for the end of year celebrations

The designer, who puts upcycling at the service of the evening gown, is launching two exceptional yet affordable dresses in collaboration with La Redoute. It will be available from November 25, 2022, just in time for the end-of-year celebrations. Classy then.

If the new protagonists of fashion such as Zara or H&M have almost made La Redoute forget, the former mail order heavyweight continues to shine as an eshop that knows how to multiply quality collaborations. In the back row is Kevin Germanier, Swiss designer, professional in festive upcycling. This graduate of the prestigious London fashion school Central Saint Martins in 2016 launched his label in 2018 and showed for the first time in Paris in March 2022. Now he signs two dresses for La Redoute which will be on sale from November 25, at the price of 149 and 159 €.

The two festive, recycled and collectible dresses by Germanier x La Redoute

The first is a sleeveless and low cut silver design with a ruching detail that runs down from the waist to the knee-length hem. It would almost look understated if it weren’t so richly embroidered and bright. Equally dazzling, the other dress is a midnight blue model with a high neck, puff sleeves and mid-thigh length, with a vertical cut along the chest.

Both made with recycled materials, these creations seem more destined for end-of-year celebrations than to hang around in the coffee machine at university or in the office, and will clearly be collector’s items, as Kevin Germanier is already staging in the world of fashion at his feet. Who knows, tomorrow he could very well be appointed head of a large heritage house, where he can inject his upcycling vision from the heart of the reactor.
