It’s time to accept that the era when natural, thick and wide eyebrows were the main trend is over. It was replaced by trends inspired by the nostalgia of the nineties and these are bleached eyebrows and eyebrow threads. The peak of their popularity came precisely in the last decade of the 20th century, and now they are triumphantly back.
The prerequisite for the subsequent development of the bleached eyebrow trend was the heyday of drag culture of the 70s and 80s. To create a new look, the transvestite masked her natural eyebrows so it was easier to draw new ones in their place. In the 90s, the trend spread beyond the subculture. One of the first stars to fade her thick, dark eyebrows was Madonna – in 1992 she presented her book “Sex” in a new role for herself and the audience. After that we saw “no eyebrows” Linda Evangelista and Kate Moss. With the 2000s, the trend first turned into wire eyebrows, then thick and natural eyebrows.

It would seem that in 2022, everyone tried to bleach their eyebrows: from the main celebrities of Hollywood – Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Julia Fox – to the stars of Russian show business (Maria Minogarova, Olga Seryabkina). Therefore, we invite you to vote for which one truly fits the alien species?
