In terms of nail art, at the moment we see a little bit of everything and its opposite. First of all, there are the very busy looks like the pop art nails, which is inspired by comics and the art movement of the 50s to cover the nails with hyper colored shades. But there is also more minimalist trends like enameled donut nails coming to satisfy the most cautious, because it simply consists in applying a holographic powder on one or two coats of paint for an ultra-bright result.
On the list of less exuberant styles, however, a newcomer has appeared. The manicure Crescent moon. The latter consists in applying the color to the lower part of the nail, leaving the lunula neutral or by decorating it with another color. A whim of beauty that changes from French and that is not without reminding us 1950s pin up manicure.
How to get a perfect line?
If you want to reproduce this manicure at home, nothing could be simpler. After previously applied a base on the nails, wear eyelets (yes, those little self-adhesive stickers usually used to reinforce or repair holes in schoolchildren’s sheets of paper). Glue them on each lunula (the white part). Then paint your nails with the color of your choice, remembering to apply 2 coats for maximum hold and opacity.. Once the paint is completely dry, remove the eyelets and do not hesitate to clean the contour of the rounded line with a solvent pen if the latter is not entirely clear. With this maneuver done, all you have to do is apply the top coat to get shine on all nails.
Oh, and you can even apply a splash of color on the lunula for a sleeker design.
