‘A dreadful prospect’: Imelda Staunton, posthumously as Queen II in ‘The Crown’.  Describes what it’s like to play Elizabeth

British actress Imelda Staunton, best known for her role as Dolores Umbridge in two episodes of Harry Potter, is Queen II in the new season of Netflix’s The Crown. He gave life to Elizabeth. However, she admitted during a recent interview that it wasn’t easy at times.

Withdrew from the series “Crown”

According to the Daily Mail, in an interview with Stellar magazine, Imelda described the role as a “terrible prospect”. Despite the nerves, she said it was still a good experience. “But the production was huge and these people were interesting and complex,” she said.

Among the recent allegations, Imelda also shared how the series is trying to stay historically accurate.

“We’re all trying to stay in a very straight line, and the challenge of playing people who are basically limited by their lives, duties and relationships is a huge acting challenge in some cases,” he added. So it was a privilege to try to maintain the standards of the previous four seasons.”
