Kanye West accused Quentin Tarantino of stealing his idea for Django Unchained. It turns out that Ye came to the director with this story to shoot a video for his piece, Gold Digger, which Tarantino later used as a plot for his movie. He talked about this in a recent interview with Piers Morgan. Quentin Tarantino commented on the rapper’s allegations.

“It’s not true that Kanye West came up with the Django concept and presented it to me, and I was like, ‘Hey, that’s a really great idea. Let’s take Kanye’s idea and make Django Unchained. That wasn’t it,” Variety publishes the director’s words.

According to him, he found the project long before meeting with Kanye. The director said that the rapper wanted to make a movie version of his debut album, The College Dropout, which will each be shot by different famous directors. The director also confirmed that the rapper shared the idea of the video with him and even liked it, but this has nothing to do with the picture.
