When it comes to botox for hair, we can easily say that the principle is the same as when we inject botulinic acid on certain parts of the face. In fact, this method has absolutely nothing to do with cosmetic surgery ever since is a treatment that is applied directly to the hair. Made of keratin and hyaluronic acidthe latter, often confused with Brazilian smoothing, allows for wearing brightness, shine and deep nourishment to the hair fiber which at times (especially after the summer) can have a great need. Among its great qualities there is also the reinforcement of the fiber and a reactivation of the color, which makes it particularly suitable for those with colored hair (which is not my case).
Botox for hair, how does it work?
First of all, you should knowthere are only a few hairdressers in France who truly master the Botox method for hair. Unfortunately this technique, very popular especially in the United States, is still proposed in many hairdressing salons even when it is not fully mastered. To get it as it should, the hairdresser must first wash the hair twice using a preparatory shampoo in order to get rid of all the dust, pollution, sebum and dead cells that may have accumulated there.
Once this first step is completed, the professional applies the botox treatment strand by strand on damp hair using a brush provided for this purpose. Avoid the roots to avoid making this area fatter. The person is then placed under a heated helmet for 20-30 minutes in order to activate the treatment and let the active ingredients penetrate into the heart of the hair fiber. After this time, the hair is not rinsed, because the treatment must continue to spread its effects into the heart of the fiber. You will have to wait 24 to 48 hours before making your first shampoo (sulfate free) at home. In order not to leave the hair wet, the hairdresser dries again at a low temperature to repair the botox.

Botox for hair, who is it for?
Botox is dedicated to all hair types but especially on colored, straightened or denatured hair which may have weakened with various treatments. But it can also gain the fiber of all people who regularly blow dry or use a straightener / curling iron. And this, even when the client is pregnant, why this treatment is without contraindications.
Hair Botox: my experience
After doing many ironings and hairdryers in recent years, I have soft and very dry hair. Unnatural, they tend to be quite stiff above and curly below, making them look quite difficult to model. To find some balance, I therefore chose to perform a hair botox, in order to restore shine, strength and nourishment.
Hair Botox: What I liked
After testing the treatment, just out of the hairdresser, it is true that my hair they are softer and shinier than before. I tend to get a lot of frizz because some hair has broken over time and a lot of straightening and brushing. But botox for hair I erased them completely and my lengths were smoothed out. Overall, I could see what my hair fiber was more disciplined And much less foamy only when I arrived.
Hair Botox: What hasn’t really convinced me
If I noticed some positive points after this hair botox, I noticed them right away my points hadn’t changed. Despite the care and all the installation protocol that involved, these remained dry, some forks were still therewhich quickly gives an effect Mouse tail to the lengths. A first disappointment, and no less important, because it was precisely to respond to this particular problem (coming from a weakened immune system after contracting Covid a few months earlier) that I had pushed the hairdresser’s door to perform this treatment.
Unfortunately this was not my only disappointment, 24 hours after applying the botox, I washed my hair with a shampoo without sulfates, parabens or silicones. If I had left the salon pleasantly surprised despite the split ends that had not completely disappeared, I was extremely disappointed to find that once my hair was dry, they weren’t shinier or thicker, and their overall appearance hadn’t changed at all compared to my post-botox mane.
Sure, the lengths were soft and relatively supple, but an internal treatment for part of the evening would have offered exactly the same results … And I would have saved € 120. as lively as they are sparkling, worthy of a Disney cartoon. And for good reason, the latter generally don’t show the look of the hair a few days after the treatment is rinsed. Because if it’s easy to look alike Rapunzel upon leaving the living room, maintaining the same effect several days / weeks later (once we basically have to deal with it on our own) is another story.
In short, keep your € 120, obviously it’s not worth it.
