“In a world where conservative views are controversial, we need to make sure we have the right to express ourselves freely,” Ye said in a company statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Previously, the company had attracted $56 million in investment.
Ye’s fortune is estimated at $2 billion. He made most of his capital through the Yeezy brand and partnership with Gap.
