Theatrical publication reported that Konstantin Raikin was dismissed from the post of artistic director of the Konstantin Raikin Theater School. The decision to resign was signed on April 12 by the rector of the educational institution Anatoly Polyankin.

On March 24, Polyankin also signed a decree suspending the school from April 1 to June 1, 2022. This decision caused dissatisfaction among students. The Student Council stated that Polyankin did not coordinate this break with the teaching staff and did not disclose future plans, and that as of April 1, students and teachers are no longer allowed into the classroom.

Now, according to the Teatr publication, the students urged Rosobrnadzor to examine the situation and “prevent the destruction of the unique educational institution.”

Some well-known students of Raikin also joined the call of the student council, including actress Anna Chipovskaya, who graduated from Konstantin Raikin’s workshop at the Moscow Art Theater School.
