Twenty-five years devoted to the greatest of your passions are not celebrated every day. And less in the context of main fashion event at national level: the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid. John Duyos you can brag about it. Meet the designer from Madrid 25 years of career with his eponymous brandand celebrates by parading in the formerly known as Cibeles Footbridge with proposal for spring-summer 2023, Estonia. This is a tribute to this Baltic pearlbut it is also the the creator’s most personal parade to celebrate all this journey in the industry. Immediately contemporary dance choreography led by the Ballerina Mar Aguilo and with the music the designer listened to 25 years ago, John Duyos submitted a fashion show on the first day of this MBFWM applauded by those present.
Like last season spring-summer 2022, a floating garden -with which he uses the . won award for best collection after a break due to the pandemic – was inspired by Madeirathis time a trip to Estonia inspires his latest proposal. So Duyos shows a contemporary view of Estonian history, customs and crafts through a play of colours, materials and silhouettes where, like every spring-summer, a flower explosion. By the movement of jacquards, embroidered silk and tulle, the dancers showed a proposal full of shades among which stand out the forest green, light pink, floral purple and lifelike gold, which, subtly combined, represent the colorful energy of the country. Their traditional clothing also inspire Duyos’ proposal, with a volume so characteristic and peculiar in its silhouette that takes us to the past.
The Brightness is also the key Estoniathanks to sequins taken in different textures, silk muslin and guipures woven like nets that especially embrace dresses, tests the proposal. This one overlays of clothes, volume games and mixtures of patterns and textures represent the playful yet functional spirit of Duyos fashion, based on sewing craft invoice.
