Venice 2022: Choosing the best footage of the film festival
Olivia Wilde
The 79th Venice Film Festival has come to an end. After summarizing the cinematic results, we propose to summarize the traditionally fashionable ones. Spletnik fashion editor Nadia Bechetnikova collected the brightest and most memorable outfits from the red carpet – it remains to choose the main image of the festival.
The clothes under discussion were missing again this year. Everyone was talking about Timothée Chalamet’s bare back and Ana de Armas’s Marilyn Monroe tribute dress she wore to the premiere of Blonde. Besides the archival outfits, which were especially plentiful at the opening ceremony, another trend in Venice was black minimalism – the essence was the image of Irina Shayk in a slip dress. But of course they didn’t bore the audience either: There were feathers, crinolines and trains. So who impressed us the most this year?
Alessandra Ambrosio at Ermanno Scervino
Irina Shayk at Pinko
Olivia Wilde at Gucci
Penelope Cruz at Chanel
Jody Turner-Smith at Balmain
Cate Blanchett at Schiaparelli
Mariacarla Boscono in Jean Paul Gaultier x Glenn Martens
Timothée Chalamet at Haider Ackermann
