Tender Meat Trailer
Finally a series that makes intersexuality visible
Tender Meat follows Sasha, an intersex person 17 years, almost 18. Believed to be non-compliant his body was mutilated at birth, to assign Sasha in the male gender, with which he does not identify (Note in passing that France has already been condemned three times in 2016 by the UN for this type of mutilation of intersex children.)
As he tries to fit into a new school somehow, the weight of the rules proves particularly overwhelming. How to live peacefully your adolescence being rejected on the margins by society, which makes intersexuality invisible and stigmatizes?
The series matters 10 episodes directed by Yaël Langmann, also known for her work as a screenwriter (Rose, The Brio, My stupid dog…) In the casting we find in particular Angèle Metzger in the role of the protagonist, alongside the influencer Paola Locatelli, Daphné Bürki in the role of an interrogative mother, or Saül Benchetrit. Tender Meat received a warm welcome last March during the festival Mania series. We can’t wait to find out!
