Organizers of the Venice Film Festival 82. presented the competition program of the examination. This year will be held on 27 August – 6 September on the Italian Lido Island. Traditionally, the festival, which collects the brightest writers of modern cinema, will unite directors from Europe, Asia, Africa and both America.
Drama La Grazia Paolo will open the Festival – in the main roles of Tony Servilo and Anna Fertzetti. Jury President American director Alexander Payne and actress Fernand Torres from Brazil, Italian director Maura Delpero, Chinese star Zhao Tao and Mohammad Rasulof (Iran), Christian Munjiu (Romania) and Stefan Brze (France) will be part of the jury.
