Before the start of the fashion weeks marathon, critic and journalist Philippe Pourhashemi shared a post on Instagram*. In it, he drew attention to the pressures and mental health issues faced by designers. As an example of the sad consequences of such repression, he cited the fate of Alexander McQueen, who committed suicide at the age of 40 in 2010.
He wrote.

Alexander McQueen show in 2009
McQueen is one of the most influential designers in the fashion world. He was named “Best British Designer of the Year” in 1996, 1997, 2001 and 2003. Designers’ performances have always turned into crazy theatrical performances, many of which give us iconic fashion moments. For example, when robots drew a dress for Shalom Harlow at a fashion show in 1999. Or when Kate Moss appeared in the form of a hologram in 2006 (six months ago, the model was at the center of a scandal for her drug use and lost several contracts, including Burberry and Chanel).
McQueen talked about himself.
The designer also made history as the author of avant-garde, conceptual collections, distinguished by his impeccable performance skills in cutting and creating silhouettes (McQueen began as an apprentice at the famous studios on Savile Row).
