The couple were previously known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but now, judging by the signature on the official Twitter account of Prince William and Kate Middleton (banned in Russia), they have inherited the titles belonging to Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles.
As for Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II. After Elizabeth’s death, Buckingham Palace made an official statement declaring that he was King of Great Britain. He received the name Charles III (King Charles III – according to tradition, Charles, translated to Charles). Camilla is now the queen consort.
