IKEA does not plan to sell the business in Russia and plans to return in a year or two. The company is considering opening a store and warehouse, citing a source close to the company. It is reported by TASS.

The source says IKEA has never sold its business in other countries and is not considering doing so in Russia. However, warehouses and shops will remain closed until the company returns to Russia, leaving the company the right to produce goods at negotiated prices if the factories are sold.
“The so-called blue boxes will likely be closed until the return of IKEA, which is leased out next year. At the same time, the company retains around 700 employees who will continue to work in offices and work for their Swedish counterparts,” he said.
