Russian artist Dmitry Vrubel died at the age of 62. This was announced on social networks by the editor-in-chief of The Art Newspaper Russia Milena Orlova.
Wrote on Facebook*. The cause of the artist’s death was not specified, but shortly before his death, his wife posted a photo of the artist from the hospital and said that his heart was very weak. She had been infected with the coronavirus before.

The artist is most often on the Berlin Wall, where Leonid Brezhnev, Secretary General of the CPSU Central Committee, wrote “My God! Kisses Erich Honecker, Chairman of the GDR State Council. The work was created in 1990. Graffiti was painted on the Berlin Wall in 2009 as part of the 20th anniversary renovation of the wall. After the restoration, the graffiti was placed in the East Side Gallery in Berlin.
In addition to art, Dmitry Vrubel was actively involved in charity work. Thus, in 2004 he made a large donation to create a children’s art school in Beslan, and later in 2007 sponsored the construction of an orphanage in Suzdal.
