Weeks after the trial verdict, the Amber Heard / Johnny Depp affair continues to run ink, thanks to sealed documents unveiled last week, but already inspires writers as well.
An episode of the hugely popular detective series Law and Order: Special Victims Unitin French New York Special Unitwill be dedicated to the case.
A rather ironic commercialwhen we notice that during the trial, many comments compared their view of the live trial with a binge-watching series, and that says a lot about how the process could have been perceived as pure entertainment and not as a libel case against the backdrop of domestic violence.
In other cases, some have even compared Amber Heard’s testimony to auditioning for a role or criticized the slightest intonation or attitude, implying that she lied badly and was therefore a very bad actress:

“Amber Heard crying on the stand looks like a bad extra in the New York SVU trying to make her voice tremble to sound traumatized”
“Watching Amber Heard at trial is like watching a bad episode of SVU. “
Am I the only one watching Johnny Depp and Abmer Heard’s trial as if it were an episode of Law & Order: SVU? “
A new season of Law & Order: SVU will air this fall
Several photos from the set, published by ET Canada, show the iconic detective Olivia Benson, played by actress Mariska Hargitay, accompanying Kelsey, the character played by Julia Goldani Telles. They are surrounded by a crowd holding signs adorned with messages of support addressed to her and a certain Austin.
A reference to the support of the two camps that mobilized during the process.
The episode will air in the fall as part of the 24th season of New York Special Unit. The series is broadcast in France on Salto and Amazon Prime.
