Exclusive: Veteran talented agent Matt Jackson has joined the MSA agency as Vice President of the West Coast Theater Division as the agency expands to represent actors in television and film.

MSA was founded in 2000 by Julie MacDonald and Tony Selznick as a creative talent agency representing dancers, choreographers, creative directors, producers and educators in the entertainment and arts industries. Now he is dabbling in theatrical interpretation.

Jackson will bring clients such as Debbie Gibson, Lara Flynn Boyle, Jay Alexander (America’s next flagship model), Daniel Pera (cleaning woman)amanda’s cabin (Westworld, dog), Kelly Thibault (Polyclinic), Jessica Clark (real blood), Cody Saintnew (adolescent wolf), Julian de la Selle (How to get rid of murder), Miguel J. Ferguson (Hello), Jessica Ma (Chinese of American origin), Kim from London (Pam and Tom, SWAT) and Gleb Savchenko (dancing with the Stars) among others. Jackson will also focus on identifying new and diverse talent to add to the agency’s existing roster.

Jackson’s hiring is the second in three months since the agency, following the addition of Brooklyn Lavigne as director of Below-The-Line and co-head of creativity.

For more than 20 years, Jackson has worked in talent development with companies including ABC, Amazon, Buchwald Entertainment, CBS, Disney Channel, Freeform, FX, Hallmark Channel, HBO, Hulu, Lionsgate, Netflix, OWN, Rebel Entertainment Partners, TNT, TBS and Warner Bros.

“I have known Tony and Julie for 10 years and their commitment to identifying and nurturing talent inspires me,” said Jackson. “With Hollywood’s ever-changing and expanding landscape, I’m thrilled to reinvent talent, develop new faces and build on already successful dance and social media platforms. It is an exciting time for the expansion of the company and I am honored to be part of it! “

“Matt’s passion, tenacity, energy and knowledge make him the perfect choice to strengthen our theater department,” said MSA co-founders MacDonald and Selznick. “It has been an exciting and expansive year for our company and we are very excited to welcome Matt to MSA.
