Billionaire Alisher Usmanov withdrew his divorce from Irina Viner, which he filed at the end of May after 30 years of marriage. This news was later denied.

According to RIA Novosti, the divorce proceedings between Alisher Usmanov and the head coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team, Irina Viner-Usmanova, were terminated “because the plaintiff denies the allegations.”

In March, Alisher Usmanov was subject to Western sanctions in connection with the Russian military special operation in Ukraine. The billionaire currently has a net worth of $15.4 billion.

But, according to the Baza telegram channel, Usmanov and Viner officially divorced on July 4, 2022, and the billionaire withdrew the case due to the fact that the marriage was dissolved without trial. It is not known why the couple decided to divorce.

According to the telegram channel “Only to Nobody”, the case that Usmanov withdrawn was about the division of property: the couple managed to come to an agreement.

The news of the divorce was confirmed by Irina Viner.

Usmanov made an offer to his wife-to-be while in prison: he was sentenced to eight years in prison for fraud and bribery in 1980, but was released on parole six years later. The couple has no joint children.
